Performance – Elan Cruiser Racers
The Elan Cruiser Racers are true to their name and deliver top performance with excellent cruising appointments. Based on designer Rob Humphreys’ successful 60/60 formula, these are versatile boats also known as Crossovers that work without compromise as either 60% racing / 40% cruising or 60% cruising / 40 % racing. They are designed for sailors who seek a competitive edge while at the same time have the ability to enjoy cruising days with family and friends.
Cruising – Elan Impression Line
The Impression line offers robust fast cruising yachts known for their elegant style, exceptionally spacious interiors, fine appointments and outstanding offshore abilities. They offer easy leisurely cruising with a level of performance and quality reassurance that stand them apart in their class.
Elan Yacht Design
The Elan yacht series is designed by Rob Humphreys, one of today’s leaders of nautical design. Humphreys is renowned for his exceptional depth of experience in the design of many celebrated around-the-world race formats, one-off custom bluewater cruisers and premier series production lines as Oyster and Southerly. Elan Hi-Tech Hull Construction
Elan boat Hi-Tech construction and R&D is continuously at cutting edge. The Elan Marine division works alongside their famous Ski production company, which is one of the worlds leading ski and snowboard manufacturers. Elan employs the latest technology in hull construction 3-D vacuum infused resulting in a significantly stronger, stiffer boat. This process doubles the fibre content, tensile and flexural strength and ensures perfect anti-osmosis protection. The hull and deck are joined together by a 3-way technique; Bonding, stainless steel bolts and final lamination; a method proven by thousands of miles of tough ocean conditions.
Elan Keel Construction
Elan strictly comply to the Germanischer Lloyd keel to hull fixing specification and in production prepare and reinforce the hulls in the keel area to this strict specification. The keels are attached to the hull by premium grade stainless steel fixings that pass through purpose made 8mm heavy keel fixing plates for secure certified fixing. This ensures the best possible strength particularly in the event of a severe grounding.
