Elan 350 Cruiser Racer
EUROPEAN YACHT OF THE YEAR 2011 – Performance Cruiser
“I can’t remember when I’ve had this much fun afloat before! Perhaps a close second would have been the 350’s smaller sister, the Elan 310, launched at the end of last summer.”
“Talk about a boat coming alive on the water! As the wind filled in to around 15knots, I noticed how responsive she was, the balanced grip of her twin rudders making her beautifully rewarding, with just feather-light pressure.” – Toby Hodges, Yachting World UK, Sept 2010.
Pure wow factor! Sensational twin rudder / twin wheel design. If you really want a very Special Boat, mid size – this is it – no question! Judges acclaimed the Elan 350 was one of the best examples of a true to the core fast Cruiser Racer today and many agreed it would be their boat of choice if they were buying now.
Elan has set the pace again with the Rob Humphreys’ twin rudder/twin Wheel design displaying hints of the famous Volvo 60s race boat format. Sleek, bold and classy, the 350 is built for more speed for less effort, geared for short-handed sailing with real-sea-going capability and exceptional performance for a boat in this category.

The Elan 350 twin rudder / twin wheel model is loaded with thrills and without a doubt will take your sailing to a complete and exhilarating new level.
With the hallmark attributes of a true Cruiser Racer, this sporty model offers excellent cruising comforts as well.
The boat is so versatile it could be what ever you want: straight race boat / cruiser racer with very smart cruising comforts / or cruising boat.
Features
Exceptionally long waterline, plum bow, distinctive chined hull and powerful aft quarters, twin rudders, twin steering, German mainsheet system, retractable gennaker pole and T-keel. Clear neat topside and huge cockpit ergonomically detailed.
The wide aft quarters give the boat exceptional stability, power and pace and provides a huge cockpit to rival most 40-footers for working crew or cruising – the twin wheel design also making for easy access. Belowdecks it maximises the port aft cabin offering extended head room and width while also providing a huge starboard aft stowage locker that many larger cruising yachts would envy.
Comfort and Cruising
Unrivalled cruising style, comfort and practicality with a high level of finish: two good sized cabins and WC with wet locker, welcoming bright, light Anigre timber, generously spacious saloon with above average head height.
Sailing Performance
The Elan 350 is an excellent short handed sailing boat with brilliant tracking and stability – easy to sail by limited crew without the effort, whilst maintaining a competitive edge. The boat tracks like it is on rails – going to windward is a dream. In heavy weather the boat has the ability to be pressed much further than single rudder boats. The sail plan allows minimal number of sail changes with the great advantage of carrying the spinnaker many degrees higher with excellent stability and tracking. In early spinnaker testing the boat displayed the ability to plane in 16 knots of true wind @ 125 degrees TWA achieving 9.5 knots of boat speed – exceeding the predicted Polars for the boat.
